Audio is one of my weaknesses as a video editor. What is a good place I can go, or I can learn to improve my skills in paying attention and adjusting audio levels Final Cut Pro? I tried Creative Cow ... not very informative for this topic. Thank you!

I'm using Final Cut Pro 5, and I wonder if I can record audio directly from a microphone.
You can, go to Tools, then click the voice. This leads to a small window with its clever levels and a record button. (Yo, no doubt, just use Garage Band for this yet ...) The audio filter FC are limited (by your video:)) However Garageband has some amazing features and filters.
