My new microphone does not work on my mixer?
Hello I recently purchased an Audio Technica AT2020 microphone, but the problem is it will not work with my Gemini PDM-12 mixer with XLR to Xlr Audio drive, anyone have any idea what is wrong, a standard microphone with lead itself works very well!
A AT202 Condenser Microphone is a Large Diaphragm. By definition, all Condenser Microphones need what is called "food ghost. "Phantom Power is an extra burden on the Microphone Cable that powers the electronics within the condenser microphones. What you're referring to as a "normal mic" is a condenser microphone. Almost every DJ microphones, and most live microphones also Dynamic Microphones are operating without phantom power. There are two solutions to your problem. The first would be to buy a Phantom Power Supply. This is a small box that plugs in micro, then a cable goes from this box to your mixer. This box would supply the needs phantom power from your microphone and then the output of the signal to something your mixer can understand. They are available in most pro-audio stores for about $ 50. The other option would return to its AT2020 and get a Dynamic Mic. Almost every DJ in the world is only dynamic microphones and turntables, it is rare for a DJ to use anything else. The mixer is more important than the turntable?
Hello, I have 2 Denon DN-S1000 tunrtables and Gemini PDM-02 mixer .. Now, I want to have a better quality sound like, u can tell the difference btwn songs qualities .. What should I do to fix this? I need to get a better mixer? or the quality of the songs are not good ... help???? thank u
The mixer should make any appreciable difference - unless there is something wrong with that. From you say you can tell the difference, you can test to see if you can tell a difference with the mixer inside or outside the circuit.
