Free space shows less than actual Hard Disk. Is there a file hiddden. Can be traced and erased.
The disk drive capacity D drive is 6.97GB. Displays the free space of 734 MB. However, the total of individual files and folders comes to 5.39 GB. So there must be a clearance of 1.58 GB. Of folder options, details of hidden files in your case could also be found. The% free space drops below 15 and causing difficulties in maintaining software and, sometimes, I have to remove software even important to keep space free. Is there a way to correct the difference above and cause the system to show correct free space.
You may want to click tools and defragment the drive. Depending on the version of your operating system (not say), not always a 1:1 exchange. There is a minimum block size, so a 1 byte file can take up (reserve) as much space as, for example, a 512-byte file. A 513-byte file can reserve as much space as, for example, a file of 1024. So while the real space reporting "used" is wrong to assume all bytes are available. In general, hidden files are included in the total count. A little known thing to do is go to the Recycle Bin and change the properties - the default is 10% (I think) of the available space. This may make sense in a while, but now that people run 40 action units, which is a stock of 4-gig, and do not need both. I like mine to 1 or 2 percent. Also, empty the recycle bin, because the files take up too much space. In a coordinated action 7 can regain the 700 megs by dropping 10% to 1% or less. To give a shot too. I wanted to correct this and say things the size of block is more of an issue under the old FAT file systems, but do not say what is running, and a performance unit 7 is not enormous, so I'm thinking it may still about me or 95 or something. Finally, if you have had problems of unity, a number of sectors may have been flagged as "bad" and therefore is not available, and get them out of the equation. Larger drivers are pretty cheap now - you might find that for $ 30 or $ 50 you can get the space of a ton more.
How do I clear the videos back from a Hard Drive camcorder?
My mom just bought this new video camera Hard drive, she took him to Tasmania with her and has videos of my family there very rarely seen. So they are very important to her. I was just playing with he and I have this silly video of me, so I went to delete it ... When you suppress the type I delete all others: O and I really need them again. If anyone knows a good program that I could use to get it back would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
You Can Google to retrieve the file / recovery software - Eg one that I found here: http://www.recovermyfiles.com/ important thing is not to record any new videos with the video camera - new videos could be recorded on the videos deleted and reduce the chances of recovery. Good luck.
