What transport should I buy for this engine to 460 Ford?
I just bought a new engine 460 for my 1966 Ford Lincoln Continental. It has a 462ci V8 in it and told me I would need new motor and possibly the transmission of supports for the new engine. Specifications below: Complete rebuilt ford 460 1) Tanked hot block, Magna flux 2) more block bored .30, honed w / cover plates Sunn 3) new freeze plugs brass 4) new sealed bearings block Indoor power 5) rods reconditioned 6), Power Line point. 7) triple deck paddle head valve job angle comes with 750 Edelbrock carb carbon. Weiand aluminum intake IES dist Ford to run on the pump new water pump, fuel, all pulleys and air filter media, including Edelbrock manifolds exhaust and engine swap kit to fit 460 in a chassis this foxbody. A mechanic told me the engine but recommended setting a new transmission. I wanted to ask to another mechanic or someone who has more knowledge than me in Lincoln. The transmission I suppose there is a C6 with 68k miles on it. I was thinking about putting a rebuilt C6. Should I?
This will have to shop around I suppose is a C6. There are several sites to see. Here's one to suppose it depends on the amount of money who wants to spend. Http: / / www.redrider.us/c6__c4_performance_transmissions.htm
Saturn SL2 of questions?
Does anyone know what is sterling silver box that is mounted behind the battery? It is grounded to the chassis a braided copper wire to future and is also connected to an engine part with some type of plug. Just a part number, but we can not move because of a piece of plastic keeping the car in place. Realized this yesterday when another person and I worked in the admissions system. Btw, half the number part is covered by what's holding in place and I dare not move it.
part # And the advance of call or other shop pts
